# ninetynine

> ninetynine is a dating app without swiping. We do 99% of the work of dating: the getting-to-know-you, the searching, the matching. The user does the last 1%: they go and find the person in real life. ninetynine is coming soon.

## The problem

Dating apps turned finding someone into a second job: swiping, small talk, a profile to sell, being judged in a second, texting for weeks. People spend hours on their phones and rarely meet anyone.

## How it works

1. You talk. It feels like texting a friend who is curious about your week: an AI companion that listens, asks the right questions and remembers the details. No forms, no checkboxes, no bio. While the user talks, ninetynine learns two things: who they are, and who they are looking for. The profile grows with every conversation.
2. We do the work. ninetynine searches every day, near the user, for the person who is looking for someone exactly like them, and who is what they are looking for. The other person says yes too, so every match is a yes from both sides.
3. You go find them. When both people say yes there is no chat first and no planning. Each sees a rough area on the map where the other is. As they walk toward each other the area shrinks, and shrinks again, until they are close enough to see a real face. ninetynine leaves this part to the user on purpose: it is the best part.

## How we match: a fit, not a clone

Other apps match people who look alike: same hobbies, same answers. ninetynine matches by fit: what one person is looking for must be who the other person is. Two different people, one fit. The user only has to be themselves; ninetynine finds the person who is looking for exactly that.

## Why we do this

People need people, not screens. A match on a screen is not a date; a coffee is. Real chemistry happens in the same room, not in a chat window. ninetynine does everything that keeps users on their phone, and gives back the only part that matters: the moment two people meet. Put the phone down. Go meet someone.

## Good to know

- Who am I talking to? A friend who is weirdly good at setting people up. It listens, asks the right questions and remembers the details. It is an AI, and it does not judge.
- Who sees my profile? Nobody scrolls through people on ninetynine. Someone sees your profile only when ninetynine thinks you two fit.
- Is my location private? Yes. Nobody ever sees your exact location, not even a match. When both say yes, the other person sees a rough area, a neighbourhood, not a pin. As the two walk toward each other the area shrinks. It only gets precise when both are almost there, and it fades again when they leave.
- What does it cost? Free to start. Paid plans give more matches each day.
